Wow it makes so much more sense now.

Clint's 'speech' was the only part of that entire weeks worth of convention that wasn't contrived, boring and full of hot air.

Right, instead boring and hot air was replaced with sad, confusing, and just a little disturbing. He looked like he was going senile up there and it's definitely not how I want to remember Dirty Harry.

I feel genuinely bad for clint. He is one of the great artists of our time and it pains me to see him reduced to this.

I was sad to see this as I had recently re-watched several of his classics. The opening music when he walked on was a rip off of the Morricone theme to avoid paying royalties for a song. Sad and cheap too.
