gorgonheapsays...I think they are supposed to use a bigger truck. But I do love human creativity and ingenuity.
Raytracesays...ahahahahhaaha...
Singlish!
deathcowsays...looked pretty kind to the truck to me
bigbikemansays...While slightly unusual, I saw nothing wrong with the way that was done.
grinningevildsays...How did they load the excavator?
Paybacksays...Grinningevild, it's simply the reverse of what you just watched. Use the arm to lift up one end of the excavator, back the truck up, drive the excavator up.
The truck is about 1/20th of the weight rating it should be though...
calvadossays...I'd think that would be hard on the back suspension. They did it pretty smoothly though.
Spoon_Gougesays...My brother in law, who owns two shovels and runs his own business, would load and unload similar to this process. He had a lowboy (a separate trailer from the truck) and so never jacked his into the air as shown here. Basically, though it was use the shovel arm as a jack to get on and off the lowboy. He probably puts more stress on the shovels than on his truck.
bellmansays...I was going to say -- this looks like it would screw up your shovel arm hydraulics pretty fast. It's not made to lift the whole excavator is it?
lertadsays...I live in Thailand, and unfortunately, this is normal. Third-world developing country for you right there.
Anyways, what they're saying doesn't sound Thai. Maybe Cambodian or Vietnamese.
lertadsays...Hmm...my post
