How does one harness the energy from the 3 gears underneath to make it usable?

You couldnt really, theres only as much energy in the bottom spinning mess, as he puts into it at the top.

The gears and weights makes it appear like a lot more, but its a closed system...and well, we know thats not how the universe works

Possible idea for an ocean wave powerplant? Seems it only needs small oscillations with high torque as input.

My powerball only has as much energy as i put into it, and it can still drive 6 little leds at fairly low speed with what is probably a very cheap generator.
