I too have heard people rave about this show, I've seen a few episodes, but couldn't get into it. A lot of popular anime I watch/ed has had some unintentional eye-rolling cheesey material.

I'm currently hooked on this series - caught the 1st episode live one night on Adult Swim and have been recording them every week since. I really like the cat & mouse action between Kira and L. I try to ignore the crappy anime cliches.

I'll take my mouse, and UPVOTE IT!

Hey this series kicked ass. Well worth watching from start to finish... the quality is very high - one of the best series I've seen in a long long time. Just don't watch it if you're a psychotic. Also don't watch the movies, they sucked. And don't watch the dubbed versions... you're missing out.
