Dashsays...My Italian is a little rusty, but here goes:
Woman: "A child in the audience has challenged you to a staring competition. Do you accept this challenge?"
(The president proceeds to win the staring competition, unphased by the woman's
attempts to distract him.)
dw1117says...Ahhh... well now it's not as funny, but I'll keep it in the comedy channel.
siftbotsays...Moving this video to dw1117's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
K0MMIEsays...... riveting.
siftbotsays...Tags for this video have been changed from 'Giulio, Andreotti, dying, Presidente, frozen, blank, stare, akward, italian' to 'Giulio, Andreotti, dying, Presidente, frozen, blank, stare, awkward, italian' - edited by calvados
Kluzsays...The little boy asked him how did he manage to resist in politics so long, 'cause he (the child) finds politics to be tedious .
He replies that politicians are elect among the folk , and even among the folk there are boring people , maybe some politicians respesent that category at their best .
Then the host asked him what kind of future will attend today's kids , and what would he wish for them .
Andreotti : "........."
Host (again ): "what future you see four our children"
Andreotti : ".........."
Host : "President ? President ! President ?"
Andreotti : "..............."
(BTW , his reply is quite allegorical .)
p.s. He is alive . No surprise : italian politicians are great to stay grabbed to their "seat" , if they leave it before reaching 105 years of age you must celebrate it like a miracle. Obviously Andreotti rapresent this last category at his best .
