I'm interested to know how a 110V device gets sufficient power from a 1.5V battery.

Because that would EVER work. Ugh. I mean, MAYBE if they actually showed the power cord going into the tv, they might have had a chance an convincing someone.

Usually when my power goes out I grab the two prongs of the plug and rub my feet on the carpet.

I thought it was interesting and plausible because of all the posts it recieved on youtube validating that it worked. they could all be lying, but it seemed a ovewhelming consensus that got it to work, no posts for people who didn't get it to work. the main thing people said was that it only ,asted like 5 minutes, longer for lcd screens.

you will need:
a mountainside (anywhere in costa rica will do fine)
a coffee farmer (remember to pay him fairly!)
several months (you can watch your battery powered TV while you wait)
a roaster and grinder (you can probably find these anywhere)
