How do you find this many stupid people in one area?

From YT: "So what if they don´t know how many sides a triangle have? Or who Tony Blair is? That is not fair...just because their president is as intelligent as a door, it doesn't mean they´re all like that...if you still think American people are stupid, watch this video and change your mind :)"

I demand to see the raw footage, these poor victims must of been pressured into being so stupid under penalty of death. I'll admit though that the one question i didnt have any clue on was the Kofi Anan one but 0-1 aint bad.

Rick Mercer talks to Americans was a whole show of stuff like this. The funniest part is that he asked nonsense questions and people would just accept them.

I read an interview where he said the only time he got corrected was by a child who noted that Canada didn't have states, as his question had implied, but provinces. The child was quickly yelled at and silenced by it's mother for contradicting the nice news man.

I'm American, and I work at a Zoo. I spend most of my time explaining to people that cheetah's don't lay eggs, that beavers are not reptiles, that elephants do not eat meat...

It's not limited to world affairs.

Okay, but in fairness, you can find stupid people anywhere. Especially if you have a camera and the attitude that it's all for fun.

Go shoot in some public places with heavy traffic for a couple of days, and see if you can't put together a few clips.

That said, wow, some of those folks are stupid.

how do you find this many stupid people in one area? go to any town in america on a sunday, find the nearest megachurch that happens to share a parking lot with a mall (which isn't hard) and hold a TV camera. works every time

I'm sorry but I really hate these videos. Ask enough people enough questions and you'll have a highlight reel for any country's incomparable ignorance. I also find it interesting that most of these videos are filmed during the day, when productive members of society are at work.

If there are any willing financiers I will ask the same questions to soccer hooligans before football games across Europe and produce similarly grim highlight reels for each and every one.

I know places in Canada, Britain and Australia where you could find people just as clueless. I live in Canada and I could drive 50 miles north and get the SAME results. There are dumb people everywhere, just throw a rock.

It all depends on how many ppl you ask, in a pool of say, 1000 there are bound to be stupid ones and some ppl just dont perform well in front of an camera. Also I will have to point out that because of the accent, not every one can understand the interviewer, hey, some people are just terrible at understanding different accents.
There are bright beacons in the mix too, 1st a girl correctly pointed out where Sri Lanka is on the map(at least the genernal location, even tho that map is warped and mislabled). Then on the question regarding "Axis of Evil" during WWII "Axis of Power" were viewed by the aillies as "Axis of Evil" so the kid's answer "Germany" as one of them is not really wrong I would argue.

A lot of these people look like blue-collar workers. Why in the hell should they care whether or not they can find Sri Lanka on a map? It's of no relevance to their daily lives. Not everyone is as fortunate to be able to lounge around at home sifting video clips like us, guys. I'm going to guess the majority of us are college educated, tech-savvy, and (obviously) have the disposable income and leisure time to surf the web and accumulate useless knowledge that is of no applicable value to our daily lives.

News flash: most people aren't nearly so lucky and I'd be willing to bet the majority of the people you see in these clips fall into that category. Let's get over the snobbery and remember that not everyone out there has had the same good fortune and educational opportunities as the rest of us.

Oh, and I bet if I took a video crew out to rural New Zealand and started asking the same questions to some of the sheep farmers out there--making sure to edit out any correct answers in the final showing--NZ wouldn't be looking so intelligent either.

So everyone here is a white collar?

I'm a former Marine and I work in a factory making plastics now. If that ain't blue collar then I really don't know what is.

Besides, I think that it's safe to say that your average middle-class home has broadband in it. It's not like it's a luxury that few can afford.
