Deanosays...I remember seeing this film years ago but couldn't figure out how the scam worked. I guess it's purely about exaggerating how much you're gambling in order to get perks.
Paybacksays...^ You only show your card when you get chips, not when you cash them in. Basically he's using the same $100 like 4 or 5 times. $150 looks like $600 to the floor boss, who you have just told earlier that you're a compulsive gambler, please PLEASE stop me from using all my money. Which makes them give you stuff free, to keep you around, to bleed you dry.
Deanosays...So how does the rate card stop him gambling? It is supposed to have some preset value that both parties agree upon?
relliksays...This wouldn't work in today's casinos. Everything is electronic now and you stick your rate card (player's card) into the machine and tracks how much you've actually played. Points are given out depending on the amount and you can trade them in for perks and comps. I doubt you will get a room unless you are a high roller, maybe just an upgrade.
Throbbinsays...That was a good movie. Mostly because it featured a new bride in a neckbrace.
nach0ssays...Two actors I really like. Thanks!
