Abductedsays...Wow whoever is doing it is a true dick. They should really have taped over the IR receivers (in case that doesn't make sense: with tape).
Mavensays...Actually, this was hilarious, trade show people take themselves too seriously. But too bad that Gizmodo will most likely never be allowed at CES again.
Grimmsays...I doubt anyone got fired...it's not like they stood at one booth all day messing with the TV's...at least they wouldn't need to in order to get this footage. They would have just needed to cause a few minutes of panic in a handful of booths over the entire course of the CES event.
darkrowansays...On top of Grimm's statement, these things were handed out at the door by some company, so it wasn't like everyone wasn't asking for something like this to occur. I'm surprised to hear that this prank wasn't more widespread.
oohahhsays...I sure hope that nobody was fired but yeah, I'm in the that-was-pretty-funny camp. :-D
Memoraresays...another example of cheap low tech defeating expensive high tech, and to defeat the tv b gone tech use even lower tech - a piece of tape.
dagsays...Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)
If anyone is ripe for puncture and derision it's the tradeshow marketroids who run this stuff. I've been to CES and Comdex - and it's pure cheese. 99% glitz 1% substance. At least the adult entertainment expo next door is honest about what it's doing.
Memoraresays...That was about as funny as a Denial of Service attack on VideoSift.
haha.
Babymechsays...Has the submitter ever had a real job? Nobody's workers' rights are so attenuated that they get fired because a TV turned off.
Kruposays...Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha, hilarious.
