Henry Rollins Interview With Two Iraq War Veterans

Powerful stuff in my opinion, I only wish they had more time.

Henry Rollins interviews two Iraqi War veterans,
Paul Rieckhoff and Jason Lemieux.
This is a condensed version,
edited to fit youtube's 10 minute
limit on video size.

You can watch the full version of the show on IFC-

Henry Rollins is a damn good man.

I've met a few pro-war soldiers, and I'm very sorry to say that there is nothing about them that I respect, nor could I respect more than a well-trained dog.

A pro-war soldier is little more than a well-tuned machine.

Even if you take the most grandiose accomplishments of these wars, they are little more significant and far less beautiful than flowers sculpted of mud when compared to the human misery that the USA has caused, is causing, and will continue to cause for years to come.

that was a good interview. we need to just suck it up and realize that there will be a civil war there when we leave no matter what, due to the power vacuum created by Saddam's ousting, but still pull out to save American lives in the meantime and improve our image in the world's eye. We've been there more than long enough to provide the structure they need to go on; if the country goes to shit, it's their problem, not ours anymore.

Great Interview and I love Henry's Friday night talkshow on IFC. These soldiers are indeed brave to have stood up and voiced their opinion. Thank you Jason and Paul. True American Heroes.

it'll take a very, very long time for the U.S to improve it's image in the world's view. not in our lifetime. a new government might do it. there's no evidence that war in iraq has created any structure. any countries that have sent troops to iraq are responsible for it being in a worse state than it was.
