Guy on drugs jumps 2 stories to concrete---and walks it off

So, this gentleman, high on who knows what, apparently found him cornered on an overpass by police on both sides---and took the only logical logical course of action---he jumped off the overpass.

He then walks away.
Not really sure how.
I assume all sorts of things were broken but that he was too high to feel it (opiates? ketamine? PCP?)

I have heard this is one reason why, when facing people on drugs, police keep shooting until someone is down and stays down---because the normal "Oh, I've been hit by a bullet, the overwhelming pain is my cue to drop to the ground and start screaming" goes away.

Actually, if you look closely at his rate of descent... he doesn't freefall. He's holding on to something that slows his fall, then he just falls off at the end. Maybe some netting/rope/cable?
