I've been here for quite awhile being a douche thank you. And I'm serious, this is bullshit I want Google Fiber, I don't want horrible Kansas to have it, they'll just use it to make christian websites that fight gay marriage.

I happen to agree with you. The San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or New York would make more sense. Shit they could have chosen Texas or Las Vegas or Florida over fricken KANSASS

Kansas native and current resident here (not to mention Google fiber registrant )...

While I will concede it is largely religious and regressive here, it still stings to hear my home badmouthed and generalized. I grew up in the suburbs of KC hating it for being so much more boring than all the lively places I saw on TV. Then I traveled across the world, seeing desolate deserts, gleaming tokyo, and everything in between. Among all of it, Kansas would still rank among the best places to live in my book.

And there are more progressive communities if you bother to look, notably Lawrence, our "blue island."

I'm absolutely serious. I want to leverage your world travel experience to cut down on my obligations to judge people myself. You must have traveled the area extensively to be able to form such clear opinions of such a wide and diverse populous.

The only other explanation is that you're stereotyping a group of people based on something you don't understand in order to protect people who are stereotyped by people that don't understand them. You're obviously smarter than that though you funny human.
