Good samaritans save Cop's life

When a female officer tries to arrest a crack head, he assaults her and steals her pistol. Just when he points it at her, a big guy comes along and takes it from the crackie. The officer then takes the guy down and a fat woman sits on him to pin him to the ground.

Step 1: Give all LEOs proper combatives and arresting techniques training.
Step 2: Encourage all LEOs to carry a bladed weapon for weak-side draw.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Enjoy the fact that no LEO will ever be in this situation again.

Seriously, that was terrible. From the moment the perp turned to the officer, she screwed up. He grabs her, and instead of breaking contact and making distance or closing the gap and clinching, she does the one thing that couldn't possibly help her by trying to outmuscle a larger opponent. Then he starts grabbing for her belt, and instead of going into weapons retention mode, she tries to draw her firearm and gives him control of the weapon. And then after Friendly Citizen #1 comes to her aid, she....grabs the perp's leg doggy-humping style? And then the guy rolls belly-down, and she can't even keep control from sideride or backmount?

Good lord, what the hell are they teaching officers in Texas???

I'd like to know what the hell they are teaching at the academy down there. Just like rembar said, break contact or move in to pin, muscle on muscle is the last thing she should have done. Not to mention she knew he was grabbing at her weapons, yet she tries to draw the gun rather than keep proper pressure on her holster.

It's not one of those "oh well she didn't have time to think" flaws, when you're a cop this should all be muscle memory.

yeah, back to basic training for police woman. yay for guy who seems like he has some disarming/wrist twisiting chops, and hooray for woman who knows how to weigh in with her best abilities

Is true is both funny and worrying to know than Mister I-Just-Passing-By know more about arrestation technic than a ''profesional'' cop.

Is why we use to train soldier and cop in the same place in the ancient time.

That's an editing tactic commonly used, you can see that the picture gets grainy as they zoom in and out of focus.

You mean as they zoom in. There's no focusing, because the picture wouldn't stay grainy if it focused.
