Does this fall into the rule about full length movies? They are still selling the movie, so I'm not sure that its kosher to have on the sift.

Oh yeah.. I'm sending this to *discussion, only because I think we need a more clear-cut definition of what "public domain" means. Sure its on Google video, (or wherever) but people are still trying to make money from it, so is it cool to have on the sift?

Well I do know that this video is for sale on several websites, but thats probably not an indicator of anything. I don't even know where to look for information on that, but would love to know how.

wtf? this is not a public domain movie in any way. one of the directors is Spike Jonze, and it has Owen Wilson in it for craps sake! the first 10 seconds are an even an add for a video piracy channel on Efnet!

but anyways, they intent to make money on these, not just put them out for promotion. its a serious revenue generator, and although their market is now skater kids with internet connections that doesn't mean this is a freely available, public domain film.
