Now that is funny, because I drove through the same type of golf-ball-sized hail in 1998, and my windshield didn't have a scratch on it. The rest of my car ended up looking like a golf ball, but my windshield stayed intact.

Hail that big usually accompanied by a tornado... at least that's how it goes in the alley.

Sounds auszy, and that is fun and scary at the same time. The fear and excitement of moments like that is storms like that is incommunicable.

I think we'll find this is from the recent Queensland storms, as he does indeed seem pretty Aussie to me, he says Crikey at one point.

We dont get very many tornadoes in aus. But hailstorms are pretty common.
