Geologist Jim Berkland Predicts California Earthquake Soon

Geologist Jim Berkland Predicts That California Is Going To See An Earthquake On March 19th, 2011

Geologist Jim Berkland gives us background information on familiar anomalies (spatial and earth) that clue us to upcoming earthquakes. Berkland was famous for predicting the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in San Francisco (also known as the Quake of '89 and the World Series Earthquake).

My question is how many times has this guy been wrong?
Maybe he predicts earthquakes all the time, but when nothing happens no one reports on it...
But if he's right again - could be onto something.

When you are right, but the evidence in what you based your guess on is debunked you are just lucky. Most his stuff has to do with animals getting lost and moon positioning...which I believe has been found to be mostly false.

I think the the idea is supposed to be that certain moon position can cause tides that put a somewhat heavier, shifting load down on different sections of tectonic plates.

Apparently his correlation statistics have a habit of being debunked, but his claim is just 'here is a window when it could potentially be more likely, maybe, that fault lines would be under increased stress and shift'.

... since they found a retired one who doesn't see a problem in scaring people with info based entirely on highly controversial and frequently debunked correlations.

Since when does Fox News listen to scientists?

He appears to be wrong for most of 2009 & 2010 and if you publish this every month..
"7.0+M globally, probably within the Pacific Ring of Fire where 80% of the strongest quakes have occurred in the past."

He hasn't made any predictions since 2010 and it appears he had the same guess for like a year straight. But he has been correct a few times a few days ahead. Most people don't think there is anything to syzygy.
