GHOSTBUSTERS - Official Trailer

Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of "hilarious" new characters.
Paybacksays...

Wiig, McCarthy and McKinnon aren't even in the same ballpark as Aykroyd and Ramis.

(I'm leaving Murray out of this comparison completely, that'd just be mean to the ladies)

This is gonna suck.

I'm going to withhold judgement, some funny people involved - maybe they're saving the good stuff for the movie.

Shepppardsays...

God, so much wasted potential. Great music for the trailer, vfx don't actually look that bad, but the characters are just gender swapped cutouts of the originals.

Basically, you've put 4 women in the roles of childhood memories that were played by.. well, MOSTLY legends. And even then, I'll take Winston over Patty any day, at least Winston seemed to be more than a "tough as nails black {chick} for comic black relief".

Sylvester_Inksays...

And yet it will make a load of money based on the name, the notoriety, and the fact that people will see it just to see how bad it is. And that's why movies like this keep getting made.

People need to grow some backbone if they want this to change, but they won't.

ChaosEnginesays...

I have zero problems with an all female ghostbusters. It's actually a lot more interesting than just a straight remake.

But all they've done here is gender flipped the roles. It looks like a carbon copy of the original right down to the token black character.

So they decided to remake a great move with all woman.

Feminism for feminism sake is not always a good idea.
