ashes2flamessays...Woohoo! .. didn't know there was a 2nd movie in the works.
Trancecoachsays...<Trivia> "The beast with two backs" is a British slang for sexual intercourse. Many believe the phrase is from Shakespeare's Othello: "I am one, sir, that comes to tell you your daughter and the Moor are now making the beast with two backs." However, the term predates Shakespeare and can be found in François Rabelais', 'Gargantua and Pantagruel':
"In the vigour of his age he married Gargamelle, daughter to the King of the Parpaillons, a jolly pug, and well-mouthed wench. These two did oftentimes do the two-backed beast together, joyfully rubbing and frotting their bacon 'gainst one another, in so far, that at last she became great with child of a fair son, and went with him unto the eleventh month..."
The same phrase, or some variation of it, occurs several times in James Joyce's "Ulysses."

Mi1lersays...that took away some of the horrible after taste of the other trailer i watched today, if you dare watch it the trailer for the next 50 cent game "blood on the sand"

Xenstersays...The first movie was somewhat of a disappointment for me, but it was a first in adapting the futurama universe into a movie format. Hopefully this does better. And if you want to know, I think Bender's Big Score had too many "random for the sake of being random" moments in it... if I wanted that I'd turn on "insert Family Guy anything".

rasch187says...xenster: I've heard others say the same thing. I'll tell you what I told them: Watch it again! Despite a fairly bad start, it's a really good movie with a story that has more layers than most other sci-fi or comedy stories. All the people I know who followed my advice say they liked it a whole lot better the second time they saw it.
cheesemoosays...^ Totally true! I've watched it like 4 times now, and I almost never bother watching any movie again after I've seen it once.
And, ashes2flames, there are a total of 4 movies lined up. These two, and then "Bender's Game" and "Into the Wild Green Yonder"

The last two are supposedly going to be released this year. We'll see if they stick to that, but I'd guess maybe just one more this year.
bamdrewsays...woo! david cross!
