Frightening Birth of a Tornado

Surveillance video from a camera atop a Union street car wash building vividly shows you the frightening close up pictures of the first twister churning into the South End of the city late Wednesday afternoon.
Dave Del Veccio provided 22News with this terrifying reminder of a Tornado's force. This is the funnel that instantly tore off the South End community center roof as well as causing unparalleled damage to Springfield and later on to many Springfield area communities.

I saw that too. Probably a good idea odds-wise, though.

I watched this like I watched the tsunami videos... I see people walking around and hope they got to safety in time. Last thing I want to see is someone flying by the camera at a hundred and fifty miles an hour, but I can't not watch, either.

Like this baby girl who got blown 16km by a tornado last week.
16km.... She was actually alive for a while over the weekend, but has since died.

Officials had originally reported that Angel had been found 10 miles away from her home, but a spokeswoman for the St. Vincent Salem Hospital where she was initially taken later said she was found close to her home.
