First US Marijuana Cafe Opens in Portland, Oregon

The Cannabis Cafe in Portland, Oregon, is the first in US to give certified medical marijuana users a place to get hold of the drug and smoke it.

How funny, that's the Village Ballroom, or at least what used to be the Village Ballroom. I've rented the place a few times and thrown events there. Heard some of neighbors have been complaining about the big clouds of smoke hanging around the place now. They complained about our noise levels a few years back. Wonder if we'll be missed.

I'd like to have one of those volcano vaporizers. Too bad they are so expensive.
Maybe I can find a coffeeshop (the Dutch kind) in the neighborhood that allows me to test one first.

I bought a Hot Box for 100 bucks. Gets the job done, doesn't destroy my lungs, and it has a bong attachment.

Also, I'm a little confused about the title -- they say the first cafe, yet I've been going to legal cannabis clubs and hash bars in California for almost a year now. Is this old footage or is the term "cafe" what makes this a first?

I recommend everyone who hasn't been to Venice, California in a few years to take a stroll down the beach.
