First 7 Minutes of The New Sony Film: Moon (2009)

Sony Picture Classics presents the first 7 minutes of the film Moon, coming to DVD and Blu-Ray January 12. Moon: The last place you'd ever expect to find yourself.

I'm intentionally leaving out a plot synopsis due to the interest the film has generated amongst us sci-fi fans, and also because I don't want to spoil anything for myself (not having seen it yet). :) However, you can check here for the IMDB entry.

I saw the preview for this on District 9 I think?
Dude goes to outer space and gets dementia.
Why the fuck would you be doing that to the moon? It is a vital piece of our happy little fluke of a system we have here.
Article on the moon, and if it were gone plus a few other things. written "by Neil F. Comins, University of Maine" - Quoted from the article.

This was a brilliant film, but yeah quite predictable to me.

But to nordlich: Eh? We're doing that to earth, mate.. mining it, etc. If we found an easily harvestable and extremely efficient energy source on the moon, we'd mine that instead.

Just the fact that low budget British sci-fi is getting some love is awesome... while some might have seen it as predictable, that could be said about most movies anymore, at least moon had thought, and an amazing performance by SR

this was a pretty good movie though i figured it out fairly early on.
you all probably will also but you find it does not detract from the movie.

It's not like they're trying to hide anything.... I mean, the whole situation is spelled out for you like 30 minutes into the movie.....

Thanks for posting this! I had never heard of this film until this morning. Just watched it. great flick. It is fun to watch when you know NOTHING about the plot.

That's my favorite way to watch a good movie. I'd never heard of it until I saw this post, and immediately put it at the top of my netflix queue. I think that if I'd read any reviews or had seen the (awful) trailer, I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

As for the predictability, a good film will put me into a frame of mind where I don't try to think ahead. I lose myself and watch. Moon did this for me.
