Father Takes Down LAPD Officer For Pedophilia

YT Description: Mark Dornan doesn't like creepy crawlies taking pictures of his young daughter at the Garden Grove California Strawberry Festival, and woe to the sucker who thinks they can. Mark tackles him, TAKES his gun, TAKES his camera, and learns afterward the man is an LAPD off-duty - as of yet unnamed - police officer. There were other pictures of other children - and pics of his own daughter from AN HOUR EARLIER.

"He came up and tried to sneak a picture of my daughter climbing out of this wagon in a short dress"... Authorities did not identify the officer, but confirmed that he works for the Los Angeles Police Department. The man was not arrested and police said the photos of the children were not considered pornographic. Police, however, took his camera but did not confiscate his gun because he carries a license.

Urg. This one could get real ugly. Technically he may not have broken any laws if the pictures don't cross a particular line. This douche could get off with a warning, or worse, nothing. People are going to flip...

Uh, I hate to break up the pedo-bashing, but as far as they know the guy was just taking photos of kids. Creepy? Maybe. Pedo? Not necessarily. By all means he should be reported, and have his computers and home checked, but 'innocent until proven guilty' should still abide. People have had their lives completely and utterly ruined for being falsely accused of pedophilia.

The LAPD might just be the worst police department in north america. Some of the people that work for them are just criminals, others are really screwing the system that gives them WAY too much money and power.

I was thinking something similar, but what took it over the edge was the description of the pictures not being just a random collection, but pictures of the same kids taken over hours, as if he was stalking them. I think a lot also depends on what the composition was. He seemed pretty damned keen to delete the pictures when confronted, so I suspect that there were probably some up-skirt shots, or at least attempts at such from the way the father was describing the whole trying to get pic of her as she got off the wagon "with legs akimbo."

Definitely need more info to make a full judgement but it really stinks and the way the guy reacted kind of implies he knew he was up to no good... even if he didn't technically do anything illegal.

This is so unfair... the comment made me lol, but do I obey its injunction? Oh, the dilemma!!

...well if he didn't want his daughter's pictures taken by some creep, he shouldn't have dressed her like that.

I've been paid to take photos of daycare playgrounds around town few years ago, but it was for WCTV channel 6 station out of Tallahassee that paid me since I was 2 hours away from their station but lived in the local area they required photos from for a news story.

so yea it can look creepy, and it felt creepy taking snapshots of 4 daycare center playgrounds while kids played.

But strangely no one questioned me or came up to me and asked what I was doing which was even stranger and creepier than my photos in the first place.

But it was an easy $250 dollars.
