Errol Morris' First Person: Leaving the Earth (documentary)

The whole First Person series is really great. Other subjects included Temple Grandin (slaughterhouse savant) and Rick Rosner (a guy who gamed Who Wants to be a Millionaire?). The rest of the pilot story may be found at:

Thrilled to see this make it to the front page. I don't think it's too evident in this episode, but Errol Morris designed a strange camera rig specifically for the interviews in this series. The subject seems to be nearly surrounded by cameras, and if I understand right, is never looking at Morris in person, but only at his image on a screen.

I just watched all parts. What an amazing story this is! I agree, it would go nicely in a playlist - though YT has rule limiting the number of playlisted videos displayed on a remote site.

Very Good. Think I remember the crash.
I'd trade a hell of a lot of football in the nuts vids for this one (and I generally like the former).
