CaBhaalsays...This song beat out Rush's "Where's My Thing?" for the 1992 Best Rock Instrumental Grammy.
I'll upvote in spite of that because it is an awesome song.
silvercordsays...Eric Johnson is an amazing guitarist that most of the world will never hear. Shame, that.

CaptWillardsays...I don't know how I missed this one the first time it went around, so I'm glad silvercord saved it. I just posted an Eric Johnson video myself only a few minutes ago: http://www.videosift.com/video/Eric-Johnson-Trademark . Let's hope they both make it.
CaptainPlanet420says...man, this decent music had better stop, it's very unlike the taste of veteran sifters...and whoever said something about Rush, I think you might wanna dump your entire music collection and start from scratch, and that goes for any Rush lovers. happy wednesday!
deathcowsays...why does he insist on wearing that fur hat though??? and what kind of mammal was that thing?!
Fadesays...Utter Shite! If you think this is good music you need your brain and ears replaced.
Oooh look at me. I can play scales really fast. Big whoop! This is guitar playing minus soul. Pure masturbation, and it isn't even a good song.
Here is real guitar playing

CaptainPlanet420says...One considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, maybe the best now...the other had a goofy fro and ended up killing himself. Insanity by drugs doesn't constitute soul.
Fadesays...Seriously? Jimi has no soul? are you retarded?
I think Bill Hicks said it best

JAPRsays...I seriously don't know how anybody can actually listen to this song and try to claim it's just playing scales really fast. Cliffs of Dover has one of the most addictive chorus lines of any instrumental I've ever heard, and Eric Johnson is one of the greatest guitarists ever, mainly due to the fact that he has great skill as a musician and songwriter and not just technical guitar speed/skill.

Well that's new, I guess the broadcasters of the piece this time are the ones with panties in a wad.
