Elephant Gives Birth and Kick Starts Baby

This is an incredible video of a baby elephant being born. As it seems more and more likely that this is a stillbirth, mom's encoding takes over and she frantically tries to get baby to breathe.

I thought they were Predator subtitles.

Baby elephants are Tough, one kick from that elephant mom would probably get me to stop breathing.

Wow. I actually teared up a bit.

If this were a video of a human giving birth standing up over concrete and the mother fantically tried to waken the onconscious baby......... elephants do not give birth on concrete! In the wild they create a soft pile of sand and leaves other elephants would support her. I thought this video was very sad and cruel.
