I read this book 3 times in a row back in the day, felt like a new book each time. <3 Dune. Fuck the movies and the sequels tho

Bang on. I read all 16 or so books and he is dead on. Oh what a surprise happens in the end. Herbert ( which ever one you want) was a mastermind. This series is the ultimate Sci-Fi story.

As much as like David Lynch, his 1984 Dune was a hot mess.

Is Dune "classical literature" now?

It is a great book, but it was only published a few years ago FIFTY YEARS AGO!!?!? Holy shit, that makes me feel old!

It was very interesting, but it seemed that Jodorowsky was in over his head. Amazing vision, but not practical enough to pull it off.

That was a remarkably apt summary.

miniseries was pretty good I thought. captured dune way more accurately than lynch's version
