As a kid's film, The Wizard of Oz is something I've seen maybe two dozen times over the years, and each time I get a repeat viewing (usually Boxing Day) it somehow seems more real. I'm always saddened to recall that none of the actors in the film are still alive: Garland died long ago in 1969, before I was even born.

This one is out of sync, too...but just barely. We used to verify the sync with the "Directed by." The music changes as soon as the film fades into "Directed by...."

You can also tell it's late because of the "door opening" in Oz..."Money" should start the instant you see color for the first time.

Call me a purist, but this is brilliant when it's synced right.
