BTW, sorry for flooding the front page with 7-vids upvoted... it kinda kicked this newly promoted vid down the stairs.

IMHO, promoting is a waste of precious sift-powers during the (North American) night-time, since it's relatively easier for a flood of vids to graduate when someone's feeling generous with the 7-vote vids.

I always forget that bit. In all honesty (and don't tell anyone) I usually look at the "recent comments" to see videos... So I keep forgetting the Front page physics.

I totally understand. Fortunately the "classics" tab will mean that the vid gets preserved for posterity, even if it's front page treatment is brief.
