how come there's no background noise? is it quite easy to isolate the sound of your voice like that and cut out all the other crap? i'm not sure i like watching live performances that sound like studio recordings, i'd prefer to hear people milling about, give it some kind of outdoor feel.

I'd guess what with the hardware he's using and the proximity to microphone he's maintaining it's a very simple method of utilizing a fairly high noise threshold.

Great stuff. As for recording the sound, I would imagine tat the sound is being recorded through his amp, rather than the camcorder, and just synced in post. The sound is recorded before it leaves the speaker, there's no background noise, only what the speaker is playing.

H'es got a lot of talent, doing stuff on the fly like that. I dont doubt that, but, I've heard about 3 or 4 things from him on the sift and theyre all starting to sound the same. i dunno... maybe thats just me.

His technology has also improved. Impressive how he can assign all those audio voice modulations on his singing.
