Someones been knocking on Pats door to deliver the good news. Again.
Psychologicsays...

I actually like when people drop by to talk about religion. Usually they seem like newer members who don't have a broad knowledge of their subject... it's kinda cute.

The most recent ones ended up agreeing that before I was created god already knew every decision I would make throughout my life, yet he still chose to create me that way. This could only mean that I am, by default, doing god's will by not believing in him.

They said I had a very interesting view, and then left.

Having been forced to go to AA/NA, he is right on the money with this one. What a way to get over your addictions, replace it with another, far more mentally virulent one!

Oh boy, I sure did learn real quick to sit in the back, look at the floor and keep my mouth shut. God forbid I didn't want to fucking join in the "prayer circle" at the end of each meeting you miserable assholes!

Not that I disagree with him, but "I wouldn't dream of going around knocking on doors ... to spread the good news" is mildly contradictory with a dude that has a youtube channel full of atheist / anti-religious videos.

He isn't interrupting people; they have to come to him, but he in essence is proselytizing. I happen to firmly agree with his message, and think it is very worthwhile to spread the good news that there isn't some all-seeing eye out there waiting to smite you if you eat meat on a Friday, etc. Or in particular it is a good thing to be able to defend your own beliefs at least to yourself, as well as others if the situation warrants.

This guy has so much spite for religion he is incapable of stopping and appreciating the humanity of its practitioners.

These people genuinely believe that a vast majority of the world's population is damned to eternal flame, torment, gnashing of teeth and so on. This horrific notion drives many to proselytize with the intention of saving others from this fate.

Regardless of how misguided, delusional and perhaps benignly rude these people are in their actions, I nonetheless salute them as humans who care enough about others to try and spare neighbors and strangers alike from this purportedly horrible fate.

If I believed such things, I would hope that I would react in a similar way.
