Comic Con Trailer for the second half of series 6 of 'Doctor Who'. The show will return to BBC One and BBC America on Saturday, 27th August.

If you're talking about the beginning as in when it started back in the 60s...then nope.

Starting from 2005 on though would be a good idea if you're just getting started. You'll get caught up pretty quickly...I think they're all on netflix.

I'd also recommend starting with the first series of 2005, but it's also possible to start with the fifth series (2010, the first one featuring Matt Smith as The Doctor), because it's kind of a new beginning and a redefinition of the show, and, if I remember correctly, most things you need to know are explained again.
