Just started watching season 1 again. Didn't realize the first time around that Dex also killed Sam Merlotte. Sookie's going to be pissed.

I have to wonder if the season 4 ending was TOO much of a plot twist for the future of the series to handle.

We had this wonderfully crafted sense of normalcy around Dex's "family life" that was the vehicle that allowed us to empathize with him. Now that's completely gone and the core of stability that made him manageable has been ripped totally away. Where does Dex go now beyond complete psychopath?

Will be interesting to see if they can avoid jumping the shark with this.

I'd like to highly suggest putting a "MAJOR SPOILER" clause for anyone who hasn't watched up to the end of 4'th season in the title and description.

Having said that...

@Retroboy I would argue that the ending of 4'th was something the show really needed. The first two seasons the GF subplot was entirely interesting, 3'rd and 4'th it wasn't nearly as much, but with a few highlights here and there.

The show is very much about how Dexter manuevers through incredibly difficult situations, this new one is the most interesting yet.

I was hoping John Lithgow was gonna get rid of Deb for us, but no such luck

Awesome writing on that show. Can't wait for season 5.

Hmmm, this promo doesn't do much to make me hungry for the next season. I'm also starting to wonder if this might be the turning point in the series, and not in a good way.

Xax, I've said that about every season ever since Season 2 concluded, and the writers haven't let me down yet. Every year I think "This is the year where my favorite show finally starts to sink", and I've loved every season more than the season before it. So I'm not too worried. They've got some of the best writers out there.
