Day & Night - Pixar's newest short

Pixar has got to be the most creative movie studio out there. I just love the vintage 1950's style animation in pair with their more "modern" animation in the background.
Brilliant!

Dangit, stupid Russian embed isn't working!

*Under construction*

*edit - After a half an hour of looking for an alternate embed, I finally found a Chinese one that seems to work for firefox.

Hopefully I can find a legit embed in the future!

Anyway, enjoy!

I agree, the multi-layered, multi-styled animation is awesome. Whatever one says about Pixar's stories, their animation is always superb and even after all this time they still manage to stay incredibly creative.

That was a really good find. Worth watching twice, so you can notice the symbolism sooner.

I think, too, that since this has no dialogue, that more people can see it and understand it, and younger people, too.

Thanks mate! Took me the better part of an hour to find a decent version!

Watching this before Toy Story 3 made me think of exactly that, I was watching ye good ol high quality MGM cartoons of the 50s. Well you can throw Warner Bros. in there as well

I'm just really happy Pixar (or rather a few key Pixar folks) managed to get Disney to make 2D animated movies again... and make sure they didnt suck either.

You would have to be pretty naïve to not identify the attempt to indoctrinate the viewer with a "more open and accepting view" of sexual experimentation, namely homosexuality as was artistically illustrated by the two male characters sharing a bewildering rainbow-in-the-crotch experience. The concern we should have is WHY we would trust them to indoctrinate our Youth with social, sexual, or political messages of any kind. Remember when stories had "Morals" and not "Immorals"?

Additionally strange is the exaltation of Wayne Dyers quote. That guy is a moron and a fraud, and why it would be chosen for inclusion in a children's animation must make perfect sense to only fools. Unless of course, it was chosen to once again punctuate the blatant cry for acceptance of other peoples' unorthodox sexual orientation. Creatively, this animated short was clever until Teddy Newton added his own dissolute agenda.

Njalsays...

The Chinese embed worked last night but whatever embed there is now isn't loading for me in Opera or IE. Did it get removed or is something wrong?

edit: Nevermind, seems to be loading now.
