Oops. I'm pathetic at spelling and apparently need a spellchecker in the submit title line.

In the fantasy world that media like E! Entertainment likes to present, these people ARE incredibly important and beautiful. Award shows are the pinnacle of existence, where these god-like transcended people come together to celebrate and worship eachother and their fashion designers. The Red Carpet is the last place that mere mortals can interview them before they ascend into the Award Show.

And then Ricky Gervais steps in and reminds us that these are just people, and probably people that are a bit bored and drunk after sitting through speeches for 2 hours in a dress that's uncomfortable.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag.(show it anyway)

I'm thinking they'd be crazy now, NOT to hire Ricky next year - simply because it would be the highest rated awards show ever, after all this controversy. Ricky has given them a golden gift.

You're exactly right. I never watch the Golden Globes, but I would definitely watch next year if Ricky hosted again. This shit is too good. However, if they put restrictions on the types of jokes Ricky can tell, it will be the last time I ever watch their silly award ceremony.
