Crazy Good Sleight of Hand

I was impressed especially with the end credit card bit.
Deanosays...

Is there some sort of visual effect in play here? Because the production of the rose and the stem that "grew" out of his hand looked damned odd.

If not then absolutely astounding magic.

The whole time I was expecting him to magically make his hat look less ugly. Oh wait. Armani Foreign Currency Exchange. I get it!

Also, as this is the internet, and the camera goes blurry a lot I have to throw out the suggestion that there may have been a bit of slight of camera work in this video. Thoughts? Controversy?

This clip kind of bothered me, for some reason... can't really say why, tho. don't know if it was his attitude or the fact that he was using currencies as the trick.. as tho there was some subtlety in what this was really about...

I'm like 65% sure that at least some of this is video editing. That credit card change just doesn't seem possible otherwise. I'd be happy to see evidence proving me wrong, however.

If it is edited, it's still pretty impressive editing, so kudos for that. If it's not edited, it's RIDICULOUSLY impressive magic.

Sagemindsays...

That is absolutely Fake - I don't care how good he is, he couldn't hide that many bills behind his fingers, and manipulate them all, never mind the credit card, plus the flower.

Sorry - I'm not convinced at all.

messengersays...

I was ready to allow for it all considering how little we saw of his palms, especially his left palm. Even the flower I could allow for, but not the credit card trick. That has to be editing.

In other tricks in the full video he does obviously impossible things, like taking icons out of a "stranger's" iPhone, turning it into a piece of plastic in his hand, then putting it back. So yeah. Editing.

catbuttsays...

This screen grab looks pretty suspicious to me. I tried to get some good grabs of the credit card but couldn't get the specific moment when it changes from a bill to a card. Just doesn't feel right, but I want to believe!

Edit: Yeah, there is more ghosting when he flips another bill to change it later in the video. No ghosting when any 'static' bill is flipped, rotated or moved quickly at other points in the video. I think the credit card swap is done edge-on, that must be why it's so hard to get a screen grab of the change. That card sure looks extra bendy when you pause it after the switch though, I call fake. The guy is standing on the street for 5 minutes doing crazy magic tricks with pretty regular foot traffic in the background, and there is only one person nearby at the end who is conveniently the plant to receive the rose! Also, I think he was at the knoll when Kennedy was shot, that's how deep this goes.

Solid_Muldoonsays...

I have seen crazy good sleight of hand done live in front of my eyes right across the table. I've seen things that made my jaw drop. And I know how it is done!

This can't be real. His hands are bare and out in front of him the whole time. He never goes to the well.

The flower bit? Can't happen.

Either that, or "Burn him! Burn him!"

spoco2says...

Upvote because it definitely can do with scrutiny... but sure as hell looks like it could only be done with camera tricks.

Plus, yeah, the first part of the full version of this, where he 'pulls' the music icon off an iPhone as a physical button, then interacts with that, which interacts with the phone.... That all has to be pre setup
