PsychologicThe medical marijuana people do have some legitimate complaints about prop 19 (assuming my information is accurate).
Prop 19 restricts growing to a 5'x5' area per property (not per person). Medical marijuana "patients" currently have no such restriction. Prop 19 also imposes penalties for smoking marijuana in the vicinity anyone under 21, which is not currently a restriction (imagine the same restriction on alcohol or cigarettes). Medical MJ patients are exempt from some restrictions in Prop 19, but I think they're still subject to the grow space and "minors in the vicinity" parts.
If I remember correctly it also makes it illegal to buy weed from anyone who isn't licensed to sell it (though I'm not sure about it being given as a gift).
Anyway, it looks like it will pass, so I'm curious to see which parts are heavily enforced or otherwise ignored.
NadaGeeksays...this kind of seems like a low-grade shot across the bow of a dieing republic .
not that i disagree with it.
