I never played Alpha Centuri.. only got there after building my space ship in CIV. Currently I'm playing CIV IV Warlords.

I could never get past civ2/freeciv.

Civ 3 didn't appeal me, and alpha centauri... well I didn't understand it, nor a cared a lot.

I don't know, maybe with civ2 I had the poster with the techs that helped, maybe I was younger, I dunno. What I know is I don't feel like playing them without knowing all the rules, everything.

SMAC was the awesomeness.

The movies certainly look pretty, although the Civ 2 and SMAC movies were also super pretty.

If it's console only I certainly won't care enough to pick it up, but it'll be interesting to see what they do with it.
