Farhad2000Terry Gilliam's 1995 Twelve Monkeys, an Americanized remake of La Jetée, helped the introduction of this '60s cult film to a broader, younger, audience. The plot was moved from Paris to Philadelphia and the German scientists are now Americans.
This is the newer version which adds English narration. The earlier French narration is far more hypnotic.

I agree that the French narration is superior, but I hoped to make this more accessible to Sifters who had never seen Marker before.
Even with the updated narration that was apparently approved by Marker, it remains a masterpiece. We will see if it gets lost in the queue.
