u can use art to comunicate scince "translate knowlage" so his second statment validates art where as is first one acuses it of just beang thrid person and erelivent. i would argue that if an idea can be comunicated then it is of use as it will spark new ideas manny of whitch might ore will lead to scientific descovery. allso art can often be about a new idea ore thing it dosent just have to be a metafor for something that alredy exsists.
