I think it works fine as a parody, but I don't think cop shows should be about the protagonists struggling with technological hurdles. Scripted TV shouldn't try to be accurate, it should just avoid places where the inaccuracy is obvious.

Me and my roommate play a game with every episode, where we have to guess the killer. Usually, the winner is whoever has picked the most unlikely suspect. One time, I even put my money on the sweet-natured grieving widow instead of the ex-convicts who had been gunning for her private detective husband, and BANG, I was a winner.

However, the show is highly entertaining, and so I will continue to watch it every week.

LMFAHS. That was fantastic. I've never seen this show, but I'm starting now. I hope it's still on the air.

It's not made by Joss Whedon so the magic 8 ball says "Chances are good it's still on the air".

A Magic 9 Ball corollary says "it's not too smart for most people."

Bones does the same shit. Whoever is the most unlikely suspect...usually a woman...is the killer.

I'm so sick of it...yet I watch still for some reason.
