Capitalism, the enemy of Freedom and Democracy

For decades, Americans have used the words "capitalism" and "freedom" as synonyms. In this video, we'll explore why capitalism not only fails to provide the freedom it promises, it also actively suppresses real freedom. -yt

Disagree. There is a difference between unchecked capitalism and capitalism that is controlled by law.

Even the narrator states that we are in a hyper-capitalism situation. That is runaway capitalism. Properly contained capitalism does not suppress freedom and democracy.

But is completely unchecked capitalism not the ultimate goal of "conservatives/Republicans"? It's certainly what their representatives call for and try to create.

I consider myself a fiscal conservative and I don't think capitalism should be unchecked. Personally, I think the stock market and share trading forces companies to always try to show an increase in profit. I also think that corporate lobbying (well any business lobbying really) should be illegal. I also believe in term limits so that nobody can be a 'paid for' elected official.

So it isn't my goal, I can't speak for others.

NO
There need to be some checks and balances. Our government has drifted away from its moral intent and is corrupt.

Still there is no better example of capitalism , with all its faults than America.

Better tell your representatives, they disagree. They abdicated their own role in government checks and balances and want to remove all regulations and let the market self regulate.

Define "better" please.
