Canadian Commercial - Overqualified Workers

When some one tells you that you are overqualified, that can mean one of two things.

One: You are indeed overqualified, and it would cost the company money to compensate you.

Two: The job that you are going for is an unskillful job.

Three: The interviewer is fearful that you may rise and take their job.

Four: Its usually an excuse that companies use to kick you out for any reason. Being too overdressed, they don't like you, you look funny. Or they cant hire you because of affirmative action.

Its supposed to be an easy let down, while still making you feel good about yourself. But to be truthful, it fucking sucks.

Employers should always tell the truth to an employee or a interviewee.

If I got a piece of corn in my beard, goddammit, fucking tell me. Don't just laugh and point, then say its nothing.
:D
