lurgeesays...a bunch of wusses.
Yogisays...I moved from LA to Seattle a bit ago. I wear flannel pjs under my jeans now.
EvilDeathBeesays...I've moved from Australia to Montreal. What a bunch of pussies
Trancecoachsays...living in san francisco, but originally from NJ, and the fact is -- it's cold out there!
antsays...I can't wait to see you guys up north handle the heat waves.
st0nedeyesays...Meanwhile, in Gunnison, CO its -20
littledragon_79says...Gotta love relativity. I'm happy that today was in the 20s instead of single digits...or below 0 like it's supposed to get next week.
VoodooVsays...I'm in the midwest we've had a mild winter so far and we're in the 40s and it's damned nice out as far as we're concerned.
These guys would probably faint if I told them about some of my zero degree long runs training for the half marathonn with an icicle eyebrows and everything
entr0pysays...Wait until they find out that the word freezing has an actual meaning. They're going to be so embarrassed.
Asmosays...http://rt.com/news/cold-moscow-december-russia-757/
'nuff said... =)
hamsteralliancesays...I moved from Los Angeles to Colorado Springs a few years ago. I remember having soccer practice at 6 am and thinking, "man, it's so cold out here, I can see my breath.", now it's like, "man, it's, it's...i..i-i-..i-it...OH GOD I'M GOING TO DIE. OPEN THE DOOR!"
shatterdrosesays...We had a cold snap here in Florida . . . the local travel made a killing. People were buying clothes for -20°F left and right. Only, it never went below 30°F. Worse, we're Florida. It's not like you actually have to walk anywhere aside from your car to the door. :-/ I've never even owned a sweater.
MonkeySpanksays...I live in L.A.
People can be melodramatic sometimes. We are back in the upper 70s again; all is well...
Xaielaosays...I spent several months in LA for work last spring (Huntington Beach area to be specific) and besides the beautiful weather the culture and people drove me NUTS. Thankfully one of my oldest friends moved out there not to long ago so we got a spend a good bit of time hanging out and he felt much the same way.
I'm sure right now he's laughing his ass off at his neighbors putting jackets on their dogs when they take them out to pee, themselves bundled up in fleece jackets. Most of them wouldn't last a week in upstate NY on an average February day.
iviansonsays...LOL There are some pretty funny comments on here. I'm with Ant wait for a heat wave you northerners we will wait to bash you for your over the stop "It's so hot" comments.
braindonutsays...I'm actually enjoying a semi-real winter out here in Michigan. Couple days of 40s-50s, but mostly 20s and low 30s. Very bearable and pretty snow.
But yeah, when it gets hot, I hide in my basement and complain when it's 85 or higher.
KrazyKat42says...Cold is when you can't even open your car door because freezing rain has coated your entire car with a layer of ice. The coldest I have ever seen was -26 F. The snot freezes in your nose when you breathe.
