I'm in the midwest we've had a mild winter so far and we're in the 40s and it's damned nice out as far as we're concerned.

These guys would probably faint if I told them about some of my zero degree long runs training for the half marathonn with an icicle eyebrows and everything

I moved from Los Angeles to Colorado Springs a few years ago. I remember having soccer practice at 6 am and thinking, "man, it's so cold out here, I can see my breath.", now it's like, "man, it's, it's...i..i-i-..i-it...OH GOD I'M GOING TO DIE. OPEN THE DOOR!"

We had a cold snap here in Florida . . . the local travel made a killing. People were buying clothes for -20°F left and right. Only, it never went below 30°F. Worse, we're Florida. It's not like you actually have to walk anywhere aside from your car to the door. :-/ I've never even owned a sweater.

I spent several months in LA for work last spring (Huntington Beach area to be specific) and besides the beautiful weather the culture and people drove me NUTS. Thankfully one of my oldest friends moved out there not to long ago so we got a spend a good bit of time hanging out and he felt much the same way.

I'm sure right now he's laughing his ass off at his neighbors putting jackets on their dogs when they take them out to pee, themselves bundled up in fleece jackets. Most of them wouldn't last a week in upstate NY on an average February day.

I'm actually enjoying a semi-real winter out here in Michigan. Couple days of 40s-50s, but mostly 20s and low 30s. Very bearable and pretty snow.

But yeah, when it gets hot, I hide in my basement and complain when it's 85 or higher.

Cold is when you can't even open your car door because freezing rain has coated your entire car with a layer of ice. The coldest I have ever seen was -26 F. The snot freezes in your nose when you breathe.
