CBG19: Jodorowsky's Dune and the Jodoverse

Comic Book Girl 19 -#71-
Here she reviews the recent and excellent documentary, Jodorowsky's Dune. Alejandro Jodorowsky had acquired the rights to film Frank Herbert's Dune in the early 1970's. From HR Giger's first work for cinema, to Salvador Dali's portrayal of the Emperor of the Universe, he employed an amazing array of renown artists to work with him, but failed to secure studio funding to complete the project. None the less, it has had lasting influences on so many other films, it's mind-blowing to think about. Much of that work has been appropriated for other film, some deeply undeserving.

CBG is an engaging host and summarizes this doc and Jodorowsky's colaboration with Moebius to bring some of that work to life through the Jodorverse comics: the Incal, Technopriests, & Metabarons.
