for once, that little chain on the door will do some good, as evidence of break-in. it won't protect your stuff, but makes sure that the home owners insurance you pay so much for has to pay up instead of working a loophole.

i owe both farhad and snake a save, and i definately think this one is worthy. if nothing else for informational purposes. people out there need to know things like this are possible in order to further protect themselves from the evils of both corporation (insurance) and thieves.

Clearly you never seen a bump key being used by a professional. Actually scratch that, anyone really. You take the bump key, stick into almost every common door lock, bump it a few times and bam the door is open.

For a skilled thief this is perfect. Leaving no broken doors or windows means the victim has a harder time explaining how everything was seemingly stolen yet there is no sign of forced entry.
