These are commissioned "cosplayers". All big publishers pay them $ to make costumes and come to conventions. I think videosift has a short documentary somewhere about 2 of the girls in this video.

gharkoh wow, I wasn't aware of that happening. I mean it makes sense, but it kinda takes a lot away from what is supposed to be an initiative from the fans because of their love for the game. I'll see if I can find that vid, cheers.
