It just feels too easy and lame to pick on the jesus freak not getting his prayer answered, but the way they act like a persecuted minority makes me wanna point and laugh at them all the more.

I think many Christians would agree that it is arrogant to think God would be concerned with the success of celebrities or professional sports teams.

I acknowledge my privilege in being a middle-class white able-bodied straight guy. I'm strongly in favour of equality for everyone, even if it reduces my privilege (it actually never does -- that's a myth). But when minorities scrounge for any excuse to characterize themselves as persecuted to win some sympathy contest, it turns me right off, and I have to remind myself that they do have a point, but this just ain't it.>> ^Phreezdryd:
