Well, that's certainly a pretty blatant TF2 ripoff... Still looks pretty good, though. And the price is right, so I'll definitely give this one a shot when it comes out.

It is a TF2 ripoff, but I think their heart is in the right place. We need less games focused on OMG REALISTIC graffix (I'm looking at you, Crysis) and more that are focused on fun. I'm not going to judge it until it's released. (After all, most of the FPS games out there are Wolfenstein ripoffs.)

Trailers get *commercial, *acitonpack for the play and *happy for the game's atmosphere (can you tell I was about to uplaod the Gametrailers version of this?).

The Pixar look definitely has the TF2 feel going on, but this looks unique enough on its own. Looking forward to it.

Call me stuffy, but I still have enough reverence for the hellishness of WW2 that I'm not quite sold on this.

Coming soon: "Gate" a fun puzzle game where you have a special "gate-gun" to navigate over obstacles, characters include your own "Friend Box" and the promise of delicious Cookies when the game is over.

indeed a tf2 ripoff, however it is free. can't beat that with a stick.

the thing that concerns me is the matched gameplay. this means it will be hard to play with friends. we all have a friend who pwns faces, and we all have another friend that just spins circles in place for 10 mins. i'd like to be able to play with both, and it sounds like matched gameplay will prevent that.

I just want to point out how refreshing it is to have found this community here at the Sift. I frequent BluesNews and the amount of negativity and useless banter that occurs there (more recently about Battlefield Heroes) gets old. In fact it's discouraging. At least here, the majority of people speak with intent and some amount of intelligence.

Anyway, I dig the trailer and I'm actually looking forward to it. Regarding it looking like TF2... I like TF2, so more is better imo. Besides, the gameplay will be different enough to give us a new experience.

I think a better comparison is to call this Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory with cartoon textures and vehicles. If it is half as fun as that game was we might have a winner.

TF2 is not cel shaded, nor is this game... Cel shading is when the graphics are fairly flat and rendered with a black outline around everything, to look like a drawing. XIII and Jet Grind Radio are cel shaded. TF2 and Battlefield Heroes both use regular 3D rendering with cartoonish modeling and textures.
