BillOreillysays...On each of those runs, notice how many defensive players were in the backfield immediately after the snap.
NobleOnesays...^ yeah if barry only had a good line like dallas at the time. things would have been much different. he was the equalizer for a horrible team.
biminimsays...Given the teams he played for, and the size man he is, I think he was the greatest running back of all time. I remember watching some of his runs and just laughing at how ridiculous it was that nearly every defensive player would hit him, and yet he'd score a 30-yard touchdown. I remember hearing games on the radio and the radio announcers would say, well, I can't really describe what just happened; you'd have to see it to believe it.
jonnysays...This clip makes me think of Reggie Bush. He's got that same style. It can be so frustrating watching Reggie run backwards (especially on punt returns), but when he breaks one, it makes it all worth it.
As for Barry being the greatest of all time? I definitely put him in the top 10, maybe top 5. But there will never be another Sweetness.
