They are actually in a patent war. I'm kind of annoyed that Nike is getting so much press over a flashy light shoes that may, someday, have power laces. This girl has already built hers, got the kick starter funding, and started the patent process. Nike is using their team of lawyers to try and beat her to the patenting punch.
